WaSP
Module Descriptions
Print: the print module allows a file to be sent to a network printer. The print module supports LPR/LPR, IPP and Socket printing protocols. Jobs can be ticketed using either Xerox XPIF or HP PJL commands. The print module can send files to multiple printers. If multiple printers are defined, files are sent to printers in sequence or load balanced using "first available" scheduling.
Ticket: the ticket module enables an XML job ticket to be created as as a Xerox XPIF file. A job ticket can be defined as a static or dynamic variable file. The ticket module includes a filtering feature that allows precise control over which ticket attributes are applied to the workflow.
Colour Split: the Colour Split module enables the splitting of a PDF file into colour and mono pages. The colour pages are then saved and/or printed. The mono pages are sent to the next WaSP module in the workflow with an updated job ticket that contains information about where the colour pages need to be inserted. The Colour Split module is supported on all mono FreeFlow DocuSP controllers. The module includes an override mode where users can define the list of pages to be processed as colour.
Save to Disk: this module enables files to be saved to a local disk. The save location can either be a static directory or a dynamic variable, based on information in the workflow. Save locations can be defined as an absolute path, a mapped drive, or a UNC directory (Windows only).
Save to FTP: this module allows files to be saved to a remote FTP server. The save location can either be defined as a static directory or a dynamic variable, based on information in the workflow.
Page Split: the Page Split module allows a single PDF file to be split into multiple files based on a defined pattern or a list of pages.
E-mail: the e-mail module allows fully automated SMTP e-mail sending of text messages and attachments. E-mail messages can be fully customised and dynamically created using variables defined in the workflow.
Preflight: the Preflight module checks PDF files for version information and font inclusion.
Merge: the merge module enables the concatenation of multiple Postscript files. It also enables blank pages to be inserted.
Impose: the impose module supports imposition of multiple pages, including multi-up and booklet imposition.
Variable Information: the Variable Information module enables variable content to be added to a PDF file. The module is template based and is well suited for many personalised applications, including address labels, page numbering and OMR marks.
Delete: the delete module is used to delete files.
External: the external module allows WaSP to integrate with other software and workflow solutions through hot folder support.
Query: the query module allows WaSP to query an external database. The query result, if any, can be saved in a CSV file for further processing.
